We bought this charger new in 1971. We found out later that there were only 2743 sold in the U.S. and an additional 375 sold elsewhere in the world. This was also the last year of the 2 door Charger R/Ts.



Going Through Deal's Gap (The Dragon)



318 curves in 11 miles. The suspension, sway bars, tires and steering have been upgraded to handle mountain roads.



Rocking it at Rockingham



Actually we were only doing about 70 mph. It's just fun to drive on a nascar track.



No, it's NOT a HEMI!



3- 2barrel carbs are called a "sixpack" by Dodge. The stock motor on the r/t is the single 4 barrel 440 magnum rated at 370 hp in 1971.



INTERIOR PIX



on the console is a cassette recorder player. you can record from the radio or the microphone. yes it was an option in '71 just in case your favorite disco song came on!

This is a sticker with the options that are on it right now. it originally had a/c but when the ramcharger hood came available the a/c had to go!

And now it's gone .... after 51 years. Electrical fire behind the dash and all I could do is watch it burn.
