So, we heard about the Christmas markets in Germany and thought it was time to try a couple out. it was even more fun than i thought it would be .... which was a lot!!!!
rothenburg ob der tauber
Rothenburg is an awesome old walled city that makes a great starting place.
Rothenburg ob der Tauber
jeane and i are getting ready to start the adventure. my daughter, jennifer, is the designated trip photographer.
Architecture in the city
I just love the buildings.
Shops, yes, there are shops.

Rothenburg at Night
there is a guided tour available at night by the "night watchman". you get a lot of history it's well worth it.
Jeane and Jennifer Climbing the Stairs
we are climbing the stairs to the top of the wall around the city for a better view.
Phonlein
this is probably the most photographed part of rothenburg.
Town Hall, Market Square
at the town hall before the market opens. soon there will be sausages, gluhwein and people. it's so much fun!
fussen
The home of Neuschwanstein it was too foggy and nasty to see the castle.
It's Jennifer!
Here i am running into jennifer on the snowy streets of fussen. we will now find gluhwein cups and the christmas market.
And in the city
More lights and snow. awesome
Jeane and Me .... like kids in the snow!
What would a christmas market be without snow?
munich
And now to a big city
At the Marienplatz
Coming out of the U Bahn into the marienplatz at night is awesome. Yes, it was snowing.

Gluhwein
I'm not a fan, so i got apple cider instead. it comes in little drinking cups. these were in the shape of boots. jennifer found them!
Beer Hall
when you are in munich, you have to try a beer hall. the food and the beer were excellent!
Using Technology
jennifer using the translation app to read the menu. it worked great!
Jeane, in the beer hall, after a long day
